My Background- ChiroConnor

Welcome to SHS Chiropractic.

I am a qualified Chiropractor, having completed a five-year degree at the Health Sciences University (formerly AECC University College), an internationally recognised institution for musculoskeletal healthcare education.

With a strong background in sport, I developed an early appreciation for the importance of movement, performance, and looking after the body properly. That interest naturally evolved into a deeper understanding of how the body functions, how different structures work together, and the close relationship between physical health and overall wellbeing.

My approach is centred on identifying and addressing the underlying cause of a problem, rather than simply focusing on symptoms alone. Whether you are experiencing ongoing pain, recovering from injury, or looking to improve the way you move, I aim to provide clear guidance, personalised care, and practical support every step of the way.

Treatment is tailored to the individual and may include a range of hands-on techniques such as spinal and extremity manipulation, joint mobilisation, and other forms of manual therapy, alongside advice designed to help support long-term improvement and self-management.

To move well is to feel well

I believe that better movement can have a significant impact on quality of life; whether that means getting back to sport, feeling more comfortable at work, or simply moving through day-to-day life with greater ease and confidence.

Outside of clinic, I am a keen golfer and enjoy both the challenge and social side of the game (preferably in the sunshine). I have a particular interest in helping members of the golfing community stay active, reduce discomfort, and continue performing at their best on the course.

Having also played a wide range of sports over the years, I understand that each activity places different demands on the body. This has given me valuable insight into the varied ways movement patterns, injuries, and physical stresses can affect people from different sporting and lifestyle backgrounds.

When I’m not in practice, I enjoy keeping active through activities such as cycling and badminton, as well as unwinding with cooking and the occasional crime drama binge. Maintaining my own health and wellbeing is something I value highly, and it helps shape the realistic, balanced advice I give to my patients.

I am guided by the belief that:

“There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory.”

To me, this reflects the value of consistency, commitment, and working towards meaningful progress. Whether your goals are big or small, I am committed to helping you move better, feel better, and achieve the best possible outcome for your health.

If you are ready to take the next step towards a healthier, more active, and pain-free lifestyle; or simply want to improve the way you move and feel each day, I would be delighted to support you on that journey.
